In honor of Veteran's Day (next Wednesday, the 11th), we're re-running a very popular, and very needed, alert from last year, to help as many Vets, of all ages, get the support, and benefits, they have coming to them. Please share with all you know who are, or know, a US Veteran.

Take it away, Bill!
Could you, or someone you know, use the help paying for home health care, assisted living expenses, or nursing home care? And, did you know that this plan is one of the most under-utilized programs the VA administers?
The VA Aid and Attendance program is designed to help in these situations, providing our veterans, or their surviving spouses, with TAX-FREE income to pay for home health care agencies, assisted living, or nursing home expenses.
- A married veteran can receive $2,085 per month to pay for these expenses, allowing them to stay in their home longer or afford to move into a facility where they can receive the kind of care they need.
- Single veterans may be eligible for $1,758 per month while surviving spouses of veterans may receive $1,130 per month to pay for these expenses.
- service to our country during a period of war (did not have to see action),
- honorable discharge, and
- the need to have someone help with at least two activities of daily living; these activities include mobility, dressing, bathing, eating, or toileting. In addition, memory impairment or the need to have someone present for personal safety reasons will also allow for eligibility.
To all Vets, our immense gratitude for serving to keep us safe & free...and...
