Saturday is Veteran's Day, providing an opportunity for particularly those of us who never served to take time to honor those who have.
The day becomes increasingly important as the nation continues to rack up armed forces veterans as never-ending world strife creates an unending source of new (mostly way too young) members of this exclusive club, paying a huge price on our behalf.
The difference as we know now, is how today's Vets are treated when they return home, in heavy contrast to the treatment of young Boomer men who were conscripted to fight, die, or return home traumatized, in a conflict with which few of us agreed, and has been historically proven to be misguided if not disastrous.
So I will use the day set aside to honor Armed Forces Veterans to honor our own, Vietnam Vets. To do so, I've enlisted the help of some folks whose names you'll recognize, and some you will never know -
Only Americans can do that.
Boomer Nation! will forever honor you.
